Questions

Is the job description uploaded anywhere?

No. The JD is read by your own browser. Nothing is sent to DocketBee, and the letter is made on your device.

Offer letter or appointment letter: which one do I need?

An offer letter proposes the job before joining; an appointment letter confirms the employment and its terms. Under the labour codes in force from 21 November 2025, every employee must get a letter of appointment. Small teams often send one letter that does both.

How is the salary break-up worked out?

Basic is half of fixed CTC, HRA is 50% of basic in the eight big cities (40% elsewhere), PF is 12% of basic up to the ₹15,000 wage ceiling, and gratuity is 4.81% of basic. You can change basic and PF in the letter maker.

Can I change the wording?

Yes. Every line of the letter and the annexures can be edited on the page before you download the PDF.
