| Invoice number | Present, at most 16 characters, only letters, digits, - and / |
| Date of issue | Present |
| Place of supply | Shown with the state, as required for inter-state supplies |
| IGST or CGST + SGST | IGST for a sale to another state, CGST + SGST within the seller's state |
| CGST = SGST | The two halves match |
| Totals | Taxable value plus GST equals the invoice total (round-off allowed) |
| HSN / SAC | Present, with 4, 6 or 8 digits |

Questions
Is my invoice uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read by your own browser and checked there. Nothing about the invoice is sent to DocketBee or anyone else.
Can it check scanned or photographed invoices?
Not yet. It reads PDFs with selectable text, the kind billing and accounting software exports. A scan has no text to read.
Does a score of 100 mean the invoice is legally valid?
It means every check we run passed. We can't verify that a GSTIN is active, that the rate is right for the item, or e-invoicing (IRN) rules, so treat it as a strong first check, not a legal opinion.
What does the Fix it button do?
It opens our free GST invoice maker with the GSTINs, states, invoice number, date, HSN and taxable value already filled in, with the right GST type for the route.
DocketBee checks invoice formats against published GST rules; it isn't tax advice. For a specific invoice, ask your Chartered Accountant.
