Privacy policy

Your documents never leave your device

DocketBee makes every PDF right in your browser. What you type, such as names, PAN, GSTIN, addresses, salaries and amounts, is never uploaded to us, and we keep no copy of your documents.

After you download a document, a copy of what you filled in is saved in this browser only (in My documents) so you can download or edit it again. It stays on this device, isn't sent to us and doesn't follow you to another device. You can delete any saved document there, or all of them by clearing this site's data in your browser.

What we keep, and why

• Your Google account: your name, email address, profile photo link and Google account ID, received when you sign in with Google. We use them to sign you in, show your plan and contact you about your account or payments.
• Download counts: how many PDFs you've downloaded this month and in total, so we can apply the free limit of 3 a month.
• A download log: which type of document you downloaded (for example "rent receipt") and when. Never its contents.
• Plan and payment records: your plan, when it ends, your subscription status, and the payment records Razorpay sends us: amount, status, payment and subscription IDs, and the email and phone number you entered at checkout. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank details.
• Technical logs: our hosting provider records basic request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to keep the site running and secure.

Filling in, previewing and generating documents needs no account, so if you never sign in, we keep nothing about you except those technical logs.

Who processes it for us

We don't sell or rent your data. These services handle it on our behalf, only to run DocketBee:

• Google (Firebase Authentication): Google sign-in.
• Supabase: our database, which holds the account, download and plan records listed above.
• Razorpay: payments by UPI and card, under Razorpay's own privacy policy.
• Vercel: website hosting.

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside India.

Cookies and browser storage

We use your browser's storage only to keep you signed in (Firebase) and to save My documents on your device. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies today. If we add ads or analytics (such as Google AdSense or Google Analytics), we'll update this page before they go live and explain what they collect and how to opt out.

How long we keep it

• Account, download and plan records: while your account is active, and deleted when you ask us to delete your account.
• Payment records: as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is deleted.
• My documents: in your browser until you delete them or clear this site's data.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you;
• correct or update it;
• delete your account and data (except payment records we must keep by law);
• nominate someone to act for you if you die or become unable to.

Email support@docketbee.com from the Google account you sign in with. We'll confirm it's you and reply within 30 days. Signing out doesn't delete your data; ask us to delete it.

If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Our database can be reached only by our own servers, never directly from the browser. Every download and payment is checked against a verified Google sign-in, and all traffic uses HTTPS. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

DocketBee is meant for adults running a business, a household or a team. Please don't sign in if you're under 18.
