What is an internship certificate?

An internship certificate is a letter from a company confirming that a student or trainee completed an internship: their role, team and the dates they worked. Colleges ask for it to award credits, and interns use it when applying for jobs.

A good certificate also says briefly what the intern worked on and how they performed. That helps far more than a bare confirmation of dates.

Internship certificate format

An internship certificate is printed on the company letterhead with the date and a reference number, addressed "To whom it may concern". It certifies the intern's name, college, role, team and internship dates, describes their work, gives a short assessment, and is signed by an authorised person.

Issue it on or after the last day of the internship, with the same dates as your records.
