What is a letterhead?
A letterhead is the printed header and footer on a business's stationery: its name and logo, contact details, address and registration numbers. Letters, quotations, offer letters and certificates on letterhead look official and tell the reader exactly who sent them.
You can print a blank letterhead to write or print on, or type the letter here and download the finished page.
Letterhead format
A business letterhead shows the business name prominently at the top, an optional tagline, and phone, email and website. The footer usually carries the registered address and numbers such as the GSTIN and, for companies, the CIN.
Companies must show their name, registered office address, CIN, phone, email and website on letterheads. Sole proprietors and partnerships can choose what to show.

Good to know
What should a company letterhead include?
The company name, registered office address, CIN, phone, email and website; GST-registered businesses usually add their GSTIN.
Can I add my logo?
Not yet: the letterhead uses a monogram of your initials. Uploading your own logo is coming soon with Pro.
Can I type a letter on the letterhead?
Yes. Type it in the letter text box, with a blank line between paragraphs, and it's printed under the header.
What paper should I print a letterhead on?
A4 paper of 90–100 gsm looks professional. The PDF is A4, so print at 100% scale.

It's not required by law, but it makes quotations, letters and certificates look more trustworthy.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. The letterhead is made in your browser and its details never leave your device.
